A Sample of EASI's Key Events

​

  • Recently, EASI started a community petition campaign and is asking persons who are in sympathy and support our mission to create sheltering options for elder abuse victims who are being severely abused.   • Each school semester, EASI hosts an Elder Abuse Awareness training program. We devote this 20 hour program to train students and community members about all aspects of elder abuse through presentations and guest speakers. Certificates are given to all participants upon completion.​​ 

  • EASI supported the West Fresno Family Resource Center’s Earth Day celebration on April 16th, 2022. Our interns provided the community with information about EASI and elder abuse in Fresno.

  • On Saturday, March 26th, 2022, the West Fresno Family Resource Center hosted a Multicultural Celebration and Block Party for our community. EASI participated in this celebratory event and provided the community with elder abuse resources and information.

  • On June 21st, 2019, EASI supported an annual event held at Tornino's Banquets for World Elder Abuse Awareness Day. EASI had an informational table to raise awareness on this pressing topic.

  • May is Older American Month and we are searching for innovative ideas to raise awareness about elder abuse in our community. Your thoughts and assistance are needed!

  • During April 2019, in collaboration with the Windham Senior Community, EASI hosted two fundraising events: the EASI Silent Auction Social on the 13th; and, the EASI Walk-a-thon on the 27th. ​Both were held at the Windham.

  • On April 5th, 2019, we had our open Executive Board meeting at the Community Room, Clovis Police Department, 1233 5th Street, Clovis at 5 pm.
